Were you one of the many people who purchased the 27-inch iMac as soon as pre-order was available? Then you should be expect your brand new desktop pretty soon as Apple has notified customers that the first 27-inch iMac orders are now shipping.
According to numerous sources people who ordered a 27-iMac have received notices from Apple that their order has changed from "Preparing for shipment" to "Shipped."
The first wave should be arriving as early as December 13th, if you haven't already ordered a 27-inch then you will have to wait until next year as shipping estimates have dropped to 3-4 weeks. Or you could settle for a 21.5-inch iMac which are available online and in retail stores now.
